Gewerbemuseum Winterthur

In the centre of the old town the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur displays exhibitions linked to design, art and everyday culture. Usual things are shown in an unusual way, relevant questions are posed and unexpected and sensual insights into current themes are presented. With temporary exhibitions such as «Food Revolution 5.0», «Bike | Design | City», «Tattoo», «wood loop», «Oh, Plastiksack!» or «Plot in Plastilin» the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur has made a name for itself in Switzerland’s museum landscape. Many events follow up on themes in an inspiring and competent manner inviting all generations to experiment playfully and creatively. The permanent “material archive” exhibition is an interactive laboratory for studying the world of materials. We welcome the public, experts, colleges and universities as well as school classes of all age groups, to our interactive laboratory. Our policy is hands on!
